Who I am, and why I do this.

You want a wedding ceremony that feels unmistakably you, that tells your love story from the perspective of those who witnessed it unfold. I'm Eliot Fowler, a Bay Area-based officiant, and that's exactly the kind of ceremony I design.

I came to this the way a lot of people do: two of my best friends asked me to marry them. That was back in 2018, and I said yes mostly out of love and a little out of panic. What surprised me was that it didn't take jokes or poetry to make the ceremony unforgettable. Simply telling the couple's true story of how they went from being strangers to standing at the altar together did that. This year, I officiated my sister's wedding and the pattern held true.

My approach is simple: I meet with you to understand what you want in your ceremony. Then I talk to your closest people and learn about your love story. I put it all together into a beautiful ceremony that celebrates you. There are no platitudes, no clichés, no overdone poems.

A ceremony should be everything you want and nothing you don't. It should celebrate your relationship and tell your love story. That's what I do, and I love it.
